The Duck Race Comes to the Rooskey Heritage Festival

Delighted to announce that Eimear Reynolds will open the Rooskey Heritage Festival this year.

Eimear Reynolds is from the beautiful picturesque village of Rooskey in Co. Roscommon.

Eimear was brought up in an extended family of musicians and singers so it was no surprise when she began to have a keen interest herself. Having trained classically for more than twelve years and completing a bachelor of music degree in the Dublin Institute of Technology Conservatory of Music and Drama.  Shes been the Face of Ireland, the Roscommon Rose, a successful singer songwrier, and the co-founder of the Roscommon Solstice Choir 😮

Think we'd like her even if she wasn't a Rooskey native.

Thanks Eimear for your continued support,

Many people who come to the Rooskey Heritage Festival have never seen the Duck Race so we've decided to have a race as part of the opening ceremony.

Its be a great way to start the quack for the weekend.

We'll sell numbers on the night, have the race, a bit of activity around the harbour, and then hopefully all head up to the Big Red Barn to continue the festivities.

Many, thanks to Cox's Steakhouse Bar & Restaurant who are the Main Sponsor for the Rooskey Heritage Festival in 2018. This continues the brilliant support they have given us since the Festivals inception.

Cox's will also be in charge of the bar at the Big Red Barn during the Rooskey Heritage Festival, and always do a great job.

Make sure you check them out in Dromod, a great place to relax.
