A huge draw last year was the Zorb balls.
We’ve been asked to bring them back, so they are coming.
We MAY move them to give them more space.
More to follow…………………
The RHF committee want to wish Aidan Dockery, friend and supporter of our festival the very best of luck in the All Ireland Scor Competition this weekend in Belfast.
All details on the form…
If interested, apply early spaces are limited, and its always full.
The Big Blue Play Bus from Roscommon have agreed to return to the Rooskey Heritage Festival. We are delighted that they will be back in the village on Saturday afternoon as the feedback from the kids last year was fantastic.
The Roscommon Family Play Bus mission is to provide a safe, healthy, happy learning environment for the children so that they may reach their full potential in all areas of personal and intellectual development through this multi-disciplinary project.
The vision for the play bus is that it will offer a high quality early years service for the children and provide a space for parents to access training or support.
The RHF committee is delighted to support and highlight this service and hope that the people in the village take this opportunity to check it out, and the kids take the opportunity to have some fun
We are absolutely delighted to announce Patrick Feeney as our headline act on Saturday 29 July in the Big Red Barn, as part of the Rooskey Heritage Festival.
Patrick returns to the Rooskey Heritage Festival and headlines our Saturday night for the second time. A great live act, we had many requests for his return and we listened.
Support will be the excellent 4Degrees West, who are very popular and getting better and better. We really like this group, they’ve supported the Rooskey Heritage Festival from the start, and we love to support them.
BIG RED BARN (SUPPORT)
SATURDAY 29 JULY
Big thanks to everyone who turned out and supported the 3rd annual Rooskey Duck Race.
For once the rain held off, but it was a bit chilly, so thanks for spending the time with us. The kids seemed to have a blast.
Last year the ducks took their time, this year they raced down the Shannon, and to be fair to everyone, we ran a second bonus race…..
The winners were Niamh Clancy, Eamonn Kelly, Aidan Nally, and Vincent Tighe in the first race. Prizes were €100, €75, €50, and NUGENTS ELECTRICS sponsored a bottle of whiskey for 4th place.
The winner of the bonus race were Gerard McHugh, Sarah Deehan, Michael Diffley, and Sandra Conroy (online), all winning €50.
All winners will hear from us shortly (if not already!)
It was great quack, thanks everyone
A HUGE thanks to everyone in and around the village for the St Patricks Day parade. The turnout of floats and visitors was incredible, especially sine it was one of the worst day of the year weatherwise. Incredible spirit and support was evident and it is heartening to see the village can achieve such great things.
Don’t forget to checkout our facebook page which has a enormus amount of photos taken by lots of visitors. 🙂
